Description:
The legs are, typical for Aphaenogaster, very long, which enables the workers to be extremely agile. Their nests are very large, with shaft-like entrances up to 15cm in diameter. The mounds around their nest entrances reach a height of about 20cm, which serves as protection against water ingress during the rainy season.
