Our starter kits to get started with keeping ants
Our Ant Starter Sets include everything you need for the successful start of your own ant colony. Depending on the set, they contain an arena, farm, matching connectors, and essential accessories for ant keeping.
The only thing missing is the separately available ant colony of your choice.
The sizes of our Starter Sets (S, M, L, XL) differ mainly in the plate spacing of the farm and the diameter of the connection holes for linking arenas and additional farms. This ensures that each set is perfectly matched to the size requirements of different ant species.
This way, you can find the right Starter Set for almost any ant species.
Size Guide
S = 6 mm
For small ant species, e.g. Myrmica sp.
M = 10 mm
For medium-sized species, e.g. Lasius sp. and Formica sp.
L = 20 mm
For large ant species, e.g. Camponotus sp.
With nest insert also suitable for smaller species.
XL
For very large species such as leafcutter ants or weaver ants.
