Our ant arena inserts as a nest area
We offer our ant arena inserts in different sizes to match our arenas and the different sizes (S, M, L, XL) to match our ant species.
The sizes of the arena inserts (S, M, L, XL) do not refer to the external dimensions, but to the distance between the insides of the insert (adapted to the size of different types of ants).
S = 6mm for small species such as. Myrmica sp.
M = 10mm for medium types such as Lasius sp. and Formica sp.
L = 20mm for large species such as Camponotus sp. with cork and gypsum inserts also for smaller ant species M - L
XL = for e.g. Leaf cutter or weaver ants or with gypsum inserts also M - L ant species
Our ant arena inserts as a nest area
Here you will find our ant arena inserts as a nest area for ants. If you would like to integrate your ant nest into the arena instead of placing it separately next to the ant arena, you will find it here. A big advantage of our arena inserts for hibernating species is that you can simply close and cool the nest area in winter without having to remove the ants or you can even refrigerate the whole arena.
