hello guys thanks for the feedback, to answere a few questions,
tarantula if cared for properly can live for 3-15 years+ the females always living longer leaving the males at the -5 margine, providing he doesnt get killed by the female during mating :pale: i do not know why the females outlive the males to such a wide scale :-k

food wise, when they are tiny spiderlings you usually start on small crickets, and feed them roughly 3 a week is ok, but if your like me and like the thrill of the kill, everyday (in Chloe's case 2 a day, she really is greedy)... this allows them to grow faster too, due to the size of my spiders, i now feed them adult lockust, only because the largest of crickets is not an adequate meal, so i feed mine, roughly 4-5 times a week, untill full maturity, like Claudia, now she's at full growth, there is no need to feed her as regular, she gets 2-3 a week, they can go many weeks without food, but need regular water, as in Calrrissa and CleoRocco's case they are jungle spiders and need much humidty, infact as in the photo, CleoRocco is the only one i ever see drinking

Hi all,

I have a nice size pool and all summer long I find HUGE spiders skimming across the water looking for a quick meal because lots of insects fall into the water which makes for an easy meal.

I feed them to my ants sometimes - I will take some pics next summer - they are about 3 inches long, hairy and most usually carry about 100 or so babies on their backs.

hello guys, i got home tonight to find my purple tree spider shedding, i have been expecting it as she stopped eating eating weeks ago, so here are a few shots, as you can see to the left of her is the dull old skin, and her coloring is much more vibrant now, shes a little exhausted so i dont wanna disturb her too much, il take some more better shots tomorrow when shes had time to gather strength....
