nah, Lasuis niger is diffinately that best ones to get for a beginner. theyre nice and easy to keep.wen i got my firsts ones from antstore, it was in february, they were fine.
alternatively, you could wait until the summer to collect a queen-its much cheaper, obviously, but you then have to wait a while to get a colony. L niger queens are quite easy to find!
