Ok so I bought these ants for antstore when they arrive | will put them in this

Can you guys give me ant tips on keeping them?

if you read through my whole thread on this spec you will find all you need to know, from the moment i recieved my queen to present day, it might seem a tediouse task reading through the full thread, but its the best way to find the answeres you need.

Hard to say form the picture but it seems like a small setup. These are rather big ants so you may consider giving them a bigger farm and nest area.

I just got them this morning the queen is massive and she came with 3 workers and some larve.

have you put them in yet because you should probobly leave them until they have around 10 workers just try keep them some where nice and warm around 27-30 C but when you do put them in it may be a good idear to get a lizard hydrometer from pets at home or any good pet shop.
i picked one up yesterday for about £3 and it i well worth having one for these. i think maybe thats why mine did not do so well as i was not controlling the humidity so for the next ants i get which are mederterainian i want to get i t as good as possible

Hi

in my opinion Camponotus cruentatus is a very sensitive species
and transport can kill them very easily...

I also bought two Colonies a few years ago and both queens died for no reason only
a few days after arriving.
And they only had to go about 200km from Antstore to me.

Maybe you try it with an other species of Camponotus.

Yes antstore is sending me a new collony for free as they died after 2 days

cool just when you get them just leave them for days until they have more workers and do not force them into the nest when you get them because what if they do not like the nest if so they willonly die.

Guys you wount beleave this but in this forum it says that they take time to lay eggs but my queen has already layed 4 i got her on the 2 weeks ago.
