I plan to get a new P diversus colony in a few months and was wondering about how suitable ytong is for this species and if so what size of block and chambers would you recommend for an upright against the glass ytong nest.

Hello Leon,

i think for Pheidologeton diversus is sand/loam better. But if you want use a ytongblock, then use minimum a 30x20 block for a small colonie but with a option to connected later to other blocks too.

So would a basin with a farm area with a diameter of say 2cm with 60 x 30 size plate be ok for P diversus as shown below

because my last attempted at keeping P diversus I only had ytongs and was unsuccessful
