I was going to post this in the photo section, but i think the guides and setup this guy has are amazing and more info than just pics...

Really inspiring setup! I've always wanted to create an enviroment that i can keep lots of diffrent speicies of insect/animal in, so i'm gona make one this week for sure! :grin:

Wow what a great page. Yes indeed this dude has some great information. I like the way he at a time where many disregard Lasius niger* for other species, this guy conversely manages to do so much with Lasius niger* and shows Lasius niger* and non Lasius niger owners alike what a great species of ant this is and what interesting things we can do with it.

u mean messy/complicated? yep I agree, however I prefer to create more natrual enviroments, the only issue i have with it is the fact you cant see inside the nest, however i'm working on a design that will allow that, will post it soon! :D

Yeah that's why i don't like the y-tong setups and all. I want to create a more natural and still observable environment. Yeah post some pictures :)

His set up is too complicated and too BIG. You'd need a whole room for that. I can't let my ants have their own room. ;)

you could easily have 3-4 diffrent sections around the room joined by pipes running along the cleiling or high on the wall, wouldnt realy take up much more space :D
