I am working on new page which starts on 1.1.2009
and there will be much of manuals or "how to" do some patents , formicarium types , tips and tricks by experienced keepers etc. So if you want to see what you could to enfoy in new year , here I can show you one of these which will be on page... simple
Simple and effective tube:
Pictures/
1/ On picture you can see what we need (that big white is cotton)
2/ make a roll of cotton
3/ watter + cotton = classic tube is complete
4/ ask doctor for some these wooden picks or what is it
and cut to size of tube5/ break your cut pick on smaller parts you need
6/ cut some parts of toilet paper (1-2) and put them like carpet into tube near to cotton (not to be watered by cotton) , it will suck all condensation what is on glass there
7/ cut some cork half-circle ... by size of tube
8/ put it to tube ... wooden pick - corkcicle - wooden pick - corkcicle (how you need) ... you can see in the last chamber is that small part of paper
9/ make cork-circle with hole in center
10/ tube is complete ! = now you have 5-chamber tube where is first part wet ... second dry and the last is for dirt = there is second part of paper , so when ants get dirt on it , you can symply put that paper out and get there new (it works ! )

12/ side view ... you can see , first part of wood got wet from cotton , but ONLY to corkcircle ... so you have 2 chambers wet , 2 chambers dry ,
very useful for exotic species enjoy
