I found 2 red ant queens but one was lost and I have one I have no idea what it is Its has a red slim body black head Its defenetely not a myrmica rubra my colony didnt accept it lol so i removed it...

It was theory of mine. It's sting hurt. They could of entered in early summer of last year and the nest was made in some where remote. Say they arrived in Dover because thats where the reports are coming from. They create up to 97,000 queens and they spread over 100 square miles.

I think im gonna get first worker if its fire ant skippy or someone can have them if they want I dont want to have anything to do with fire ants heh

if they are fire ants i would kill the queen because they if allowed to could most likely kill all other ant species in this country it would do a lot of damage to us if so.

hehe ... good idea ... try to look on internet ,maybe it is some Leptothorax or somethink .... I dont know if fire ants in England are ... never seen these ants in Europe (nature) ...

...why ? ,you can keep it and you ´ll be first in your city who have fire ants ,and it is very nice to feel it - situation ,if you have somethink what have not many antkeers

If it was actualy a Fire ant and you dont mistake a Myrmica rubra or Manica rubida for one, you should conserve it in alcohol and send it to a specialist for exact determination and to find out what countermeasures can be taken.

Please do not keep Fire ants.

yes ... Necturus says true ...... fire ants are also dangerous for your region climate - because their colonies grow up very quickly and they keep out original colonies ... and they sting it is true = if you are "hypersensitiveness" ,it couldnt be ok

this species is disaster I looking ... Raid killing insects ,ants also ,and I think this is only one specie in the world what I dont like .... maybe Lasius niger too ,but it is out of theme
