ANTSTORE World of Ants

Hey, just a quik question.

Ive had my ants for 4 days now, in the begining the queen just sat on the surface but I helped them along by making a little hole in the ground, the workers soon got going and started making the hole larger and the queen soon followed in. I cant see the ants anymore and they rarely come out. But today a small group of ants came out and started digging in the corner of the antfarm straight down about 45mm and they keep going, so whats going on here?

Also I have a question about giving them water, the side of the antfarm has a hole in it then a test tube inserted into the hole, cotton wool in both ends and water in the middle, this test tube is about 5cm up from sand level, but I have not seen the ants leave the surface of the sand once to go and get water...is there another way to make sure they will get water?

the antfarm is homemade and is 370x250x30 mm

mayby they are sjust bilding a new nest ?

ants are verry small, so they don't need much water if they need it they will find it. if you give them honeywater they get water from there.

make sure you spray the sand once in a wile so it dont dry out.
