Hello guys, this is just a quick queerie, my Camponotus cruentatus have settled into their new nest perfectly, though i have noticed within the chambers, (a plaster nest) they seem to prefere to be upside down, even the queen, they are all upside down hanging from the roof of the chambers, even clutching the eggs, it may well be quite normal, i just find it a little strange, i would hypothasize, that hanging/gripping the roof requires a little more energy, than to be just stood on the floor, perhaps i am wrong.? any of you guys notice the same with your species?
p.s i'm not worried about this, just interested

ants have 'hooks' instead of feet, so they litraly just hang, and dont need to hold on
