Hi, my name is josh. I was wondering if it would be possible for be to buy some soldier ants by themselves seperate from there colonies. any species would be fine. Please could you respond. thanks. Josh.

they wont survive without their colony, and will be very stressed, its very cruel to do this to any social animal

Hi Joshposh and welcome.

Nice to hear you are interested in keeping ants, just want to say this first, to keep ants you need much patient, read much about each species you would like to keep (much species need different farms and food).
This said:

A ant colony has a queen that lay eggs, when they hatch you've got workers, they search for food for the queens and other workers, keep the nest clean and defend it. Some species have workers to do the heavy work. (i hope you understand the basics a bit now. )
