The title says it.. The problem is though they start hibernating around now right? Would they not build their nest or just stay still and nothing?

You can buy it now ,you´ll receive it in test tube so it is not problem ... and now they are the cheapiest ,because they have many of this spec. ,in winter or at spring are docks a bit empty ,so now is time to buy some... I think

Hibernation Now ? This is way to soon, these species start hibernation (normally) end of September half October.

i'm not sure i understand what you mean, you want to freeze maggots in to water?

it ´ll alive I think ,and if you´ll unfreeze it ,it slowly wake up

you dont have to, but you should, because thats the way they behave in the wild, and they will live longer you will also find that after hibernation there will be a mass explosion in the population during the spring read up on hibernating on the threads on here

yeah i know but just wondering if you have to Tell me when you hibernate yours then ill do the same ill hibernate them in the shed

Always try to give them what they have in nature, that way they will live longer and healthier. So if they keep hibernation in nature, also do it in captivity.
