Hello Everyone

I had a mating ritual for the flying ants at the back of my house and I managed to catch a new queen!

I put her in a fish bowl full of soil(dirt) but she doesnt dig she just cleans her self and stay's still!!

What do I do??

Try sand. Make sure it's damp too.

hey jsut going voer forums and found this, since then i have discovered the amazing test tube what i did with that fish bowl wasnt good she ended up dieing but i have learnt more since then

yeah the test tube is good as the queen doesn't have to use energy on digging a tunnel as she just has to sit there and lay eggs
and she has a water supply

That is true, the best way to start with a new queen is in a tube.

yeah that is why i believe antstore do so well as all of there queens are kept in test tube except of course leaf cutters
