Didn't see any discussion about this elsewhere, so I thought this might be the right place.

I was wondering if 2 or more basins can substitute for one larger? For example I have a 30x30x20 basin, and lets say I get a colony of Messor minor hesperius which Antstore recommends atleast 30x40x20 basin. Would buying another 30x30x20 substitute for that, or would it be better to swap it for something like a 40x40x20? Also, if a colony outgrows it's basin, will connecting another basin substitute for this the same way, or is it better or down right necessary to just get one larger basin?

I have several reasons for asking. Convenience, economy, space and I just like the idea of having several basins connected to one another.

yes more i believe more than one basin is perfectly ok I plan on doing that myself..

Well, since my Messor barbarus queen arrived dead, I was given a deal so I might be getting some Messor minor hesperius, so probably for those.

Anything specific I should think of except the heat and moisture?

Actaully some tips on keeping a stable moisture level would be nice. Says they need 50-60% air humidity, is it hard to keep it at that?
