ANTSTORE World of Ants

Hi,
I am ordering my new ants very soon now (matter of days just working out some money stuff first) and I am going to order the ants themselves, lava (from antstore) and Fluid PTFE GP1 10ml. My only problem is how do you apply Fluid PTFE GP1 10ml to the top of the container also how do i keep the humidity up in the container this may sound a stupid question but do I spray them regually like you do with other exotic pets or is there a special way of doing it.

ok.. well the PTFE will come with a brush.. so u just brush it on.. simple..
as for humidity.. this depends on what ants.. and where your keeping them.. and how big the colony is....

I use other technique. I put few drops on the upper edge of the arena and then by slowly and carfuly turning the arena I let the drops of PTFE make a ful circle - rim. IMO this is better then brush because with the brush you can not apply the same amount of the PTFE on all areas equaly.

Hi jimmy, i am going to be keeping Polyrhachis illaudata which is a sort of weaver ant in a 40x30x20 container. I am following the guidlines set down by its clossely related cousin Polyrhachis dives.

Ah, okay now we can help.
Weaver ants that is more miszt department. I myself have no experience with these species. As for as i know they make there nest themselves from leaves and stuff, so you need to keep the air humid.
