oh yes they was alive.. she wont accept dead food. yes i do agree ants are much better, but then your right it is due to there numbers.. a solitary ant isnt that impressive to watch.

I also like spiders but in my opinion ants are more active... I think because of their high amount of colony members there is always action and a spider can maybe get boring some time.


I think spiders (especialy tarantulas) are beautiful and awesome animals, but "pet rock" often springs to mind with some spiders. Funnel weavers and jumping spiders make great pets though 8) .

Also with many ants you have to wait a while before the colony is big enough to show good activity.

lol i agree with that too Phasmid.. luckily mine is pretty active.. she never stays in one spot to often.
