wohoo got back from germany and my rubra and niger have awoken from there hibernation and im finally ordering glass tomorrow couldnt order before as was going abroad and couldnt collect .

47pound for floating glass or 63 for toughened both 4mm whats best as im short on 63 and no job

its for the nests well im only 5 quid out or somit so i can get the money soon as i change my euros back into pounds .

Are you making upright nests or are you gonna use them for y-tong nests?

Because for y-tong nests I usually take glass from old picture frames or so, or just buy a new one, because they tend to be alot cheaper than buying from glass-masters. Y-tong nests generally don't call for any type of super glass.

But if you're making somethinig proper like a basin or an upright nest or so, I'd probably go for the cheaper of the two. Given I don't know a first thing about glass but I can't iamgine you'd need some extra expensive glass for this. :)

But a second input on this might do. :roll:

yeh its for the front basins and 1 for 1 of the tops rest is made of kitchen board with laminate on. only the Messor has tiled and more glass

i was thinking cheaper but i dont know how strong normal glass is

ive ordered 4mm toughened glass
1 - 1250 x 610 ( in centre a 300x450 hole cut out )
1 - 1209 x 314
1 - 1255 x 580

floated standard glass
1- 320x470
1 - 400x500
3 - 212x440


had to leave 1 nest out for bit till can afford it
