Hi i have made 1 nest so far another 2 togo and i need to silicone it to cover the wood joints etcs would this type of silicone hurt the messor barb , rubra and niger colonies.

im also looking for somewhere to buy grid guards for air flow anyone know where in birmingham uk.

oh and messor bar will be having tiled nest so no wood for show so can not chew through .
i believe rubra and niger cant chew through so should be fine its laminate surface tops

I don't think the silicone will harm your ants, but i'm not a 100% sure of this. If you let it dry long enough i think it works out just fine.

No normally they can not chew through it.
