can i put this up facing glass then will the ants grip on side angle ok ?

having the ytong standing up ants can grip onto it walking on side as a spider does it does not need to be flat i presume . also i got some Myrmica rubra arriving tomorrow with a 40 by 30 tank and 4kilos of loam and 3 kilos of sand what be a good mixture and whats the best way to keep it moist do i just spray it every other day or so ?

Yes you can place a y-tong standing. The ants can walk on it.

If i mix it i use a little more loam than sand (+-3 sand and 4 loam). Yes you can spray it once a week (or more if necessary).
