I recieved my queen and she is fine, yesterday i fed her a little of the food selection you sell which i made up, she has moved the two cocoons she came with onto a rock in a hole!


I just wanted to know, how often should i feed her?
them once they have emerged?

is there anything else special that i should be doing for her?

Hello Deanola,

at the beginning you have two possebilities:

1) You feed all 2-3 days and remove the old nutrition

2) Or you only feed once in a week

Just think over what kind of alternative is the best for you and your ants. I feed all 2-3 days and so it often happend that the ants didn´t eat something, but so I´m allways sure that they could if they needed...

You get nectar from everywhere, because you can use honey. Only give a few drops mixed with water...

After this its one more thing you can do: please don´t disturb her so often and be patient in waiting for the first workers.
