@ JimmyVe: The only two species I saw flying out today were Lasius niger and Lasius flavus, which other species you saw?
Maybe I thought they were all one of these two but actually they were not. :?

Only 4, 2 have died however, now I have the dilema of choosing which of my colonies is going to be invaded by one of the remaining queens...and its possible she may fail

(umbratus are parasitic, u cant raise them from queen)

You don't need to sacrifice entire colony for Lasius umbratus queen, you can simply give her a few workers and a bunch of cocoons stolen from a large Lasius niger colony.

I quote some people as saying the nupital flights wouldn't happen until the end of August becuase of the late developing of winged ants. I always said the end of July for the south east of England and was aware of the late developing of winged ants and used my previous experience of ants. I was proved correct as Laisus niger went on their nupital flight yesterday in the south east of England.

@ Antlord: I also seen some Lasius fuliginosus but was to late to catch here. And i have some other Lasius to, don't know the name (picture coming - soon i hope).

I also seen a Myrmica species. Don't know which one nether. I was only able to catch a male of it. Took some (bad) pictures and release it back into nature.

@ John: don't wait to long to decide, the queens will lose there strength.
