i was wondering how do you regulate the temperature of the heat mat and will it kill the ants if they go near the glass were its stuck to?

you need to buy a thermostat, without one the tempreture will just keep getting hotter and hotter. Which would kill your ants. With a thermostat you can keep it to around the temp you need.. so would not kill your ants.
