I would like to use a "heizmatte" to heat my tropical ants.
But I am not sure which one to buy as they are available in different powers (watts...)

Is a 7 Watt one enough?
How I use it? can I leave the test tube on it?

Hi ant5!

7 Watt should be enough for most cases. But if you have a very big or high formicarium or if the room temperature is to less, you need a stronger one. Dont keep the ants solely in the test tube. You should keep them in a formicarium and the formicarium could stand on a Heizmatte.
