Hi all,
I've sono questions...can i put a Formica fusca's colony into a plaster or an ytong nest? Can i put it in a sand terrarium?
Then, can i put tetramorium in a sand terrarium or an ytong nest?
How could i put Lasius flavus? In loam, in sand or into a plaster nest?

Formica fusca can be kept in a y-tong nest or a sand nest. That is up to you, what you like most.

Tetramorium sp. you can also keep in a sand or y-tong.

Lasius flavus you can keep in all of them.

I Recomend ytong over plaster nests every time, although they are easy to make, they can go moldy, and dissolve with only a small amount of water

Where can i find ytong? How can i make it?

As for as i know you can not make y-tong yourself. You can buy it at the shop. Most of the time they sell it in shops where they also sell buildings materials. (I'm sure there is such a shop somewhere in Italy )
