ok..now im going to say some few things...why you collect over 1000 L. niger queens?!!!!! is there some point?!!!!! and then, why your ants cost so much?!!!!!!!! F. sanguinea, 111E! i bought colony for 15E, your posting price!!! F. cinerea,99E i get queens for free from friends!!!!!!!!! i tell you...you get lot more costumers if you lower prizes atleast 50%!!!

Dear Finland,

tropical ants: for the most tropical ants you need license, sometimes it is a hard job, too write the the authorities, and other offices, then you flight to this place, you need a hotel, you must rent a car, you must catch the ants with the queen.
And don‘t forgot, the working hour (price by hour).Nobodys work for free. Than you must pay for the transfer by airline (1 Kg = 50 €). If the colonies in the stock, than you must pay, that workers which is tend the ants. You must pay for the room, heater etc...

The local ants: is the same problem, you must drive to this place, car, petrol, you must pay by working hour, It is not so easy to catch the ants. And is the colonie in the stock, than you must look, tend for the colonies (working time).

If you have a frend which do this for 15 €, it is fine, but for us it is not rentable

For future, if we have more customers, than we can go down with the price.

You are right, that we would have more customers, if we would have lower prices. And sometimes you can have much luck and find some or a lot of Queens of some species. But in most cases, we sell colonies and in many cases its a hard job to make colonies from queens. many will die and it is much work to feed them, hold them clean and to make sure, that there is always the proper humiditiy. To my thinking, our prices are not high. As Martin says, there is also much work with the administration and you have to rent rooms and many more things. Before Antstore I also gave Queens to frends for free! But then, it is only a hobby. So if we would sell the ants for e. g. the half price, we would sell many more of course. But we wouldn´t ear money and have to close the shop. Thats reality!

yeah true,but i really like to buy two queens of C. ligniperda ( my favorite Camponotus specie ) but its little bit too much for me sorry and by the way...you can give those queens same specie cocoons so they can make their colonies much easier
