Queen dead

Could be this time it wasn't your fault and we are not blaming any one, but like you said, you are tired of trying and failing. How many times did it happened than ? We presume it happens more than one if you tell it like that. If it was just your first time i would think there is no problem, just start over again.

no i had a queen that died in transit and arrived dead. The second one died within a week and the third just died. I think it's just bad luck...apart from the last one who was accidentally put in the sun. I received my new queen today but should i disinfect the old feeding area before putting them into it? They are different species! I can't spell it....C. Hercul*** something like that. lol

Camponotus ligniperda is the new species! They are huge! what would be the ideal setup for this species?

You know they grow really slow ! I don't think this is the best species for you. But i wish you good luck with them.

agreed they do grow very slowly, nice ants tho, if you have patience ;)
