ANTSTORE World of Ants

Heya,
i got a big problem and im totally new to this antstuff never had ants before. I wanted to start with ants a few weeks ago but i didnt know which one would be good for me. Well my problem is that my friend brought me some ants from his trip to nicaragua. Both of us dont know much about ants he jus thougth its cool to have
an exotic kind. Its a long story how exactly he got these ants so ill jus stick to my problem. I wanted to put the ants ina little aquarium till i get my farm but while is was shaking them out of the glas 2 of them managed to run over my arm and they stung me. It was horrible my whole hand got all red and swollen and it was totally num and it was hurting like mad, its hard to describe and i dont want anyone to xperience that feeling. Well that was 9 days ago now and ive been trying to find information on these ants which was not easy cuz nobody in the local stores could help me. Now dont laugh but i was watching a tv show a guy called jeff cowin or so and he showed an ant on a tree that looked very similar he called it bullet ant. When i used that name in search engine it came up with pics that looks quite like the ones i have here but its missing the yellow underneath its backside it only got the yellow line on the feet infront. Well i dont know what to do with them now im afraid to interfear in the aquarium, ive also put scotchtape all around it so they cant escape i got a little child here what happens if it stings him hes only 5 years old. Is there anyway i can have them in a farm without needing to add an open island maybe a system that is totally sealed so they cant escape at all??
Or should is jus use my insect spray on them? Hope someone can give me advice.

Hello there,
yes i would be glad to get rid of them since i dont know how i should handle them. I live in germany but i could send them to you with the total aquarium they are in because im not gonna open it again. U will have ot pay teh UPS shipping charges tho, if u are stil linterested email me i dont want any money for them.

UPS just came here, (less than 5mins ago)

but ill survive (if not the ants will kill me)

one thing is true, i wont open it, not today =p i think they need to settle
looks like a real mess in there at the moment

btw, dont know if u read my other post, i catched some Lasius Niger here near my home and put in a glass jar, 7-8queens and a hell load of workers.

ima let em interact with my new pets as soon they settled

Hi, just wanted to say that im doign great with the ants,
but i dont keep em inside anymore, i have them in my garage.
really big bastards so i got them a huge tank with uvlight and a irlamp.

when they swarmed i let them outside, is that okay to do or must i execute them instead?

i can give them meat and they will take care of it.
even a small lizard i captured in the forest (dont know name for it in english, but its lives in the woods)

Dear jerryonesti,

Setting free an exotic ant in your local environment can be dangerous and could cause trouble to local species. You should not do that! If you are not sure what to do with that specific species, you should contact your the veterinary officials of your town.

Also: it is absolutely irresponsible to import an exotic species without knowing the basic facts about it. Actually you could get in serious trouble once the right people get to know what you keep in your garage!

If i was you i would send them straight away to the Antstore!!!
This particular species is the most dangerous one i believe and reading your post about setting them free is making me feel that you are not an expert (me neither) so youre better of by selling or donating them to the antstore.

I think who the ants has is not so important, but important is which one receives the correct information to the keeping as well as the risk.
