Lasius flavus queens eating there larva

I herd Lasius flavus like garden peas, try it out and see how they like it. :wink:

u could also try giving them a piece of fruits, like strawberry, plums etc.
In my experience my lasius niger love plum but thats just mine lol

its not the sugar they run from its the meat but i will try a piece of fruit and see how they like probly love it considering how much they like sugar water

ok update i did combine my 2 colonies (keeped one of the 4 queens out) they brought 2 of the 3 new queens in the same way they did with there orginal queens but killed the 3rd one why did they do this to one and not all?

Why... good question. ;)

Could be the queen was to weak or the had a different smell, the workers maybe just couldn't handle another queen... lot of reasons but hard to tell why they did it.
