Development of Lasius niger

After the fertilisation the queen digs a chamber for the foundation, after then (nearly 4 days later) she will lay eggs. By 20°C larvae appears at the 26 day, pupae at the 34 day. Eggs don´t grow, they are very small (like grains of sand). First workers appaers ~70 days after the fertilisation.

During lower temperatures the larvae will pupating after the hibernation. Late in the year raved female lay eggs foremost in the spring. In october the queen stopped to lay eggs even if the temperatures are steady by 20°C. The larvae stopped growing - they make a break. Foremost in the next year the bustle will be activated.

These are some clues. Impatience does not accelerate the development, you must allow the nature full bent.
