Postage Costs

Beitragvon SteveUK28 » 23. Mär 2008 14:30

Why are the postage charges so high even if you buy something small??

I mean if you just need a bottle of honey and a feeding dish.. why the need to charge a minimum of 15 euros??

Wouldnt it make more sence to stick it in a jiffy bag and charge less. Surely you would make more buisness doing that...

fair enough for large things like tanks i can understand using someone else.. but for littler things they could easily get some jiffy bags in and send them themselves.. might be a little bit extra work but im sure they would get loads more business from it.

try to buy in bulk, its more economical,to get a small amount of honey from antstore all the way to the UK is crazy, what i do is wait till there are a few items i want/need and buy them all at once that way post costs arnt as much cause there are more items, there are a few sites in the uk where you can get bits and bobs this also is cheaper ie cornish crispa, martin goss and edu-sci :D

yer i use cornish crispa alot (they got a website and an ebay shop) so its really good, i would still much rather buy the stuff of antstore, such as dishes etc, but the postage is way to high, as steve said jiffy bag for small/non perishable items would be cheap??antstore?
