One of my colonys of lasius flavus has made there test tube rotten theres loads of black stuff which im guessing is there poo do you know any good way to get rid of this stuff because I cannot see the colony propley...

Just add a new test tube to the setup.. if they wanna move they will.. if not then leave them be... they are obviously happy... I did have the sam prob myself.. an my ants moved..

no you cant clean it, and dont try lol the ants wont apprciate it! as Steve said, if you are worried, add another test tube so they can move if they need to

if you connect the two test tubes to one another, remeber they need to breath, so leave a 1mm gap between the two test tubes when u stick them together with for eg selotape, then put some tiny holes in the selotape for air

I have not opened the test tubes up yet as i wait till bigger colony they have around 100 workers but i prefer waiting for longer

Don't you need to open the tube to give them food ore how do you do it ?
