I have to say, I would really like to see ant shops adapt an no-sale policy during hibernation times, its hard to convince people of the need for hiberation, when it seems that shops, who command allot of respect in terms of information, seem to say its ok not to by selling them at this time

What do you mean, if you put ants in a tube (ore a farm) and you move it they don't like it. No matter what species it is.

No species like it when there is light in there nest. Some can handle it more than other. But as far as i know sanguinea panic as much as fusca

lol are you over exagerating ratgreen :P? Only one ant that I know that can kill a cow and eat it fast is driver ants :) but there impossible to keep you must probably have a football sized pitch with 10s of thousands of insects a day :P ligniperda are great ants ;)

i think manica rubida is more agressive than camponotos ligniperda, but myrmica rubra is even more agressive.
