The eggs will hatch as Males Jimmy, thats the unfertalized state of a Queens eggs, depending on the species, its possible the males will mate the queens and you may get yourself a new queen for the colony, however I dont know whether there are any inscestus Camponotus species

Well i'm not sure about that, it looks like the brood is from a fertilized queen, but i never saw a male in there. To be sure i'm going to have to wait until the brood hatch, but so many brood for only males, i don't think so...
This is a really weird case, i think there is nothing more to do than to wait until some of the new brood hatch.

i'm confused, i thought the queens came from the original queen that died? if there where no males in the colony...they cant be fertilzed..?

No you are not confused (lol) they come from the brood that was left from the dead queen, so i also don't think they are fertilized, i never saw a male in the colony... but the brood seems to be coming from a fertilized queen... don't know how but i think it is. I hope they hatch soon so i can be sure it are workers ore males. In my experience queens that are not fertilized don't lay much eggs to produce mails, here you can see much new brood. Like a said, weird case.

very strange, although its not uncommon for workers and queens to lay unfertilized eggs, pherhaps its a reaction to the 'queenless' colony, will have to see i guess, but its possible they are trying to produce males to mate with the queen, otherwise I have no idea wots going on lol

Weird, maybe they'r doing what miszt said.. Well, in the case this would happen (male mates with queen and the queen gets fertilized) that would be amazing.

I know, that makes it even more weird.
I hope the brood will hatch into workers and that someone can explain this behavior.

Still only brood. I think it will hatch in 2 ore 3 weeks and than we shall see.

A few more days/weeks and we will know what will hatch... fingers crossed.
