But when you buy basins in pet shops keep in your mind that you may have to go to a glass cutter to make two holes into the basin so you can connect more basins to it.
Pet shops normally have meal worms, fruit flys, crickets, locusts and and and. Depends on the size of the Pet shop.....

I bought some ones a time ago. And in my pet shop its depending on the weight. Thats much easier than count them :D
I believe its the same in the other shops, cause its really much easier :)

I have some meal worms and pinkie maggots. I keep them in my cellar and the fridge. So they dont went to flys or beetles.

I also buy all my food at a local pet shop, in boxes. When i come home i put them in hot water for a few seconds, so they die and become bacteria free. ;) Let them cool down and freeze them in. unfreeze them in needed. I know it a bit better to give it to them straight away but now i do not need to go to the store every week and my girlfriend is happy to (i may not keep my food alive. ;) )

buy young locusts, put a bit of celery and a slice of potato in every couple of days, and they will last for a long while, and if they are warm enough they will become full grown

if you dont want to keep them, just put the whole lot inthe freezer and take out one everytime u need them :)

mealworms and pinkies, as jimmy said, shuld be kept in the fridge (or frozen, but they dont keep as well once they are defrosted)

mealworms turn into Beetles, Pinkies turn into flies, keeping them cold will slow their development allot, wont stop it of course

The flys are good, too. But the beetles are hard to hunt and eat cause their chitin armor. The meal worms are hard to eat and hunt, too but the beetles are more ^^

So its better when you keep em cold.

Yeah my Diacammas dont like them well. Like my Camponotus cf. crassus and Messor spec. Only my Polyrhachis dives loves them.
I wait until i feed them all and then go over to pinkies, flys and some other stuff.

The turn to the beetle takes some times. I see it some times by my Polyrhachis. I give them some mealworms but not all was hunted. So they have many time to get to an beetle ^^
