Hi all
I read that some colonyes of Atta cephalotes live in symbiosis with a small population of lizards in the nest. When army ants of genus Namomyrmex attach the colony, lizards go out of the nest and they kill Namomyrmex.
Is it true? What is the specie of lizard who live in symbiosis with Atta cephalotes? Are there other similar cases?

Never heard of that Sphe... but it could be possible, some ants live together with other animals ore keep them like we keep cows. But this in new to me, where did you read it ? any link ?

Hmm....do you really mean lizards?? I heard about some ants who live in symbiose with some plant louse.....but never about lizards....

Here is written: "lizard Anphisbaenians Alba (I find the specie too) is a facultative inquiline of the leafcutting ant Atta Cephalotes. The reproductive biology is unknow, except that A. Alba may usa nests of attine ants to deposit its eggs".
