I have them now on a heat mat, not a heating lamp. So there is no change of them getting it to hot.

Ik hoop het ook, maak nu geen gebruik meer van warmtelampen met een thermostaat voor deze kolonie. Gebruik nu een wartemat.

For now they are in a tube, i'm going to keep them in a Y-tong nest.

Yeah. Its your new colony or? I only could read a few posts who was written in english
But you had a basin for your old colony or?

I had the other colony in a small y-tong, but they died. Now i have a new colony and they are in a tube for now, but i'm going to put them also in a y-tong.

Nice next year i want to get these ants aswell, they do look very interesting

They are. Very nice ants but a bit difficult to keep. I like them allot.

Yeah. I grow up my colony of Messor spec. and my Camponotus cf. cruentatus and then i buy me these ones too.....but want to collect some experience first

Idd heel mooie diertjes, maar heel moeilijk te houden. Heb het 2 maal geprobeert, de eerste keer zijn ze gestorven door een technishe fout. De tweede keer door een onbekende reden. Nu heb ik achteraf wel ondtdekt dat ze beter niet in een y-tong nest worden gehouden. Mss dat ik het binnen een paar jaar nog wel eens probeer.
