Looks like she has a lot of junk in the trunk too!!!

Kinda making me nervous. She is wandering around the formicarium.

Maybe she is looking for a good place to dig herself in ? Is the sand moist (ore what is in the farm ?)

The sand is nice and moist, not wet though. I made a little starter hole for her now too... just in case.
She has gone back in the test tube a few times. But then heads back out again.

Great idea - start a whole for her like you said.

Start it against the glass so you can still see her.

Maybe remove the test tube when she leaves it - maybe not, just a thought.

Maybe the entrance of the tube is to large ? (just a thought)
That would be nice, making a hole next to the glass, but than she will probably not move into it, to much light. ;)

I have red film right next to the glass. Won't that block the light for them?

depends, for most species it does. Lasius sp. see trough the red light.
