Gel Nest Updated

Gel Nest Updated

Beitragvon pphakkar » 31. Jul 2007 11:51

The gel nest I bought captured mildew, of course. However the queen had already made a nest into gel with few larvas, and I was able to move them to sand nest.

Then I took the gel off and Hyperlinks sind nur für registrierte Nutzer sichtbar. Now I'll just have to figure, how to keep it wet. I think that I'll drill a small hole into it.

Good work but doesn't seem to have a lot of space in it though.

It looks better now, but i can not help you with your question how to keep this nest moist. This looks like a difficult nest to keep moist.

Assuming that the ant farm came in seperate parts that are not glued together, you could stand the farm in a few cm of water in a bowl, and the water will seep into the sand thru the gaps in the edges, no matter how small they are, you'll need to do this reguly tho
