hmm ,I searching on internet ,and no many in USA. I saw one on Ebay ,one American selling some ytong. All is in EU ,many in my country and in Germany. The best company who making ytong I think is Xella ,good quality. I think ,in USA you have other materials and practices for building houses (wood ... ) - it is the capital problem ,your country maybe dont need ytong and maybe Y-tong material is "patent" by some company in EU ,and they dont want to sell that build patent for US industries. Try to find some info in US local build-shops or show them picture of ytong ,maybe in USA it has only other name

Great, thanks for the help guy's.

I will post a few pictures of my new Farmicarium I put together. I tried to mirror YTONG. The mixture is a 50/50 ratio of Plaster of Paris mixed with perlite. It really hols water well. I am very happy with this one and will show it here. It is empty and I am deciding which colony to put in it.

Do you think the Carpenter colonies can chew through this material - this is my concern.

I'm not sure they chew through it. (i also keep this species but not for long, they are still in tubes) You can try it out and let us know.
