It´s looking like Lasius sp. queen, a little bit. I found about two-three eqgs. Queen was cleaning them...like on your very nice picture...

Has it flat back like in my first picture or not?

Yes, it has. I was looking after at the minute. And it´s energic queen, too.

You can read other identification points, like how many teeth on the mandible and the shape of the end of the adobmen. But you need a lens to compare them.
I will post pictures from the first workers. They are very characteristics.

I will to look after the identification points, ok. Now I member, than I found a colony of these ants in one park. There are pinesse trees, too.

i know what the macro lense is but whats the 55mm reversed?

is that one of those filters you can put on the end to give a macro effect?

if you have another camera can you post a picture of your setup?

It is a Minolta F1,4 55mm (or 58mm?) lens. And I use it as a closeup lens in reversed position (and open aperture). It is equivalent with about a 8-10 diopter closeup lens. You can read from this technic from Hyperlinks sind nur für registrierte Nutzer sichtbar. He describe it with a compact camera but it works with DSLR-s also.

There seems to be and egg as well. Great progress, hope the colony is even more sucsesfull in the future.
