If i understand the question you want to cover up your plaster nest with glass but you want to make it so you can slide it of if you like ?

In that case you have to connect borders on your plaster nest where the glass fits under. Paste the borders to the plaster. Than you can slide the glass underneath it. Do you understand ?

I dont completly understand what your suggesting Jimmy,are u saying put the borders on once the plaster is hardened?

That link is what is confusing me for the most part because the glass is on the corner like it says and i do not see how it could still slide in and out from those instructions

Hi Twixster. Okay i'm not good at explaining. ;)

on the site you give, i'm also not sure what they mean by sliding glass. But they say to use the end chamber for food. I'm not sure that is a good idea. If you need to give them food like they say, the ants will probably escape.
Maybe this is a better way;
just put the glass on top of the y-tong, you don't need to stick it on, the y-tong is smooth and the glass will fit just fine (sticking it on the stone makes you a little bit more sure they can not escape)
connect the tube on to an out world and feed them in the out world.

I hope you understand this better and that i'm helping you with this. ;)

oh, i'm sorry, it is not an y-tong but a plaster nest, but that makes not difference. they plaster is smooth to (normally) if not, go to the shop, buy a tube of silicone and past the glass on the plaster. ;)
