ANTSTORE World of Ants

I have just ordered some ants on antstore.net i ordered a colony off lasius niger and a colony off myrmica rubra and I was wondering Do they come in a container because I didnt order one so what will happen please tell me...

Awesome thanks when they come do i just empty the tube or just leave them in there and for how long ?

i would leave them in there until you have the approprite ant farm or basin set up.

So if ive got it ready do i just shake them out off the tube or something?

It would be best no to do that, if you have a basin just pull out the cotten bud from the tube and place them in the basin (quikly put the lid back on though). If you have a slim ant farm, then put them in the fridge for about 10 minits and the ants will fall asleep, then pour them into the slim farm. p.s Do this in the fridge NOT the freezer!!! and it will not harm the ants.

so when I get the tube before putting ants in I put the tube in the fridge? then add them?

If you have a slim ant farm then yes. If you have a basin then just put the howl tube in.

THE WOULD FREEZ TO DETH!!!! Lol, the is no way they would survive the freezer for 10 minits.

Correct, but not to hot for lasius niger and murmica rubra mainly live in cooler tempriturs. room tempritur should be fine for brood develipmont (but maby putting the tempriture a little hight for a few days a week might help, im not sure).

Yes, but the room tempriture should stay OK, in adition the ants may need tempriture fluctuations, the info should be on ant store. all in all the ants will be fine. P.S i have awnsered your eggs question in another topic.

Alright would this work that when i get the ant queens with workers and if i lift up a rock and find eggs/larva and put it with my ants and queen will they take them in or eat them?
