Yeah, When I get the antfarm im gona put anti escape liquid where the floor joins the wall. Once you put it on, do you need to put anymore on again or will that last until it washes off?

I've been told that it last for a year or so. And then you have to put it on again. But how long it will do its job really depends on how moist is the place where you'll keep the colony. The moistier the place the sooner you'll need to replace it.

that wont be a problem, as Pheidole pallidula like it dry, correct?

Being a south european species, they are probably used to warm and dry places. However, as they mostly build ground nests there should be a certain level of moist present.

Indeed Sced, Pheidola pallidula like it dry i keep them in about 40%. (mine are in a sand nest) I like the nest, its nice but as Mpir sad, it is difficult to feed them in this setup. Also it is good for a few years, if the colony is getting bigger you need to move them to a bigger farm.
About gliding material, PTFE GP1 is the best, it stays on the longest, when to replace it ? when your ants can walk on it. If you use paraffin oil you need to replace it every 3 months (depends on the weather, if it is warm outside you need to replace it sooner)
I just look at my ants, if they can walk on the glide material i replace it.
