Hello to all,i return with others questions.I have considered your councils and now I want to choose betwen Messor barbarus and Camponotus barbaricus.I like Messor little more but I would like to take a mainly carnivorous ants.
what do you advise to me?

Messor like grains more than Camponotus. If you really want a carnivorous species you better take the Camponotus.

I must say Messor eat meat to but there specialty is grains.

I would choose Messor. But this is just me. They both have pro's and contra's.

Messors are not to big not to smal, they have soldiers and they are very interesting. They are quite sensitive to vibrations and don't like to get disturbed very much.

Campnotus are spectaculary big. They too have soldiers but I think you must have lots of space for them.

They are bouth nice species and choice can be make only by personal likes and dislikes.
