Hi to all. I have been searching the web and forums for info on development stages of ph d and have even tried translating other forums i have read that it takes 8-10 days for eggs to hatch is this right can eneyone clarify this.As some of my ph d eggs are more than this and i carnt see any sign of larva.

If you going to abrieviate Pheidologeton diversus you should always have a capital P on the first name and it should look like this P diversus. I would suggest getting a bigger heat mate to get that heat up eggs tend to develop quicker in warmth and are you sure your queens arnt eating there eggsor that its not to dry for them.

The queen couldent be eating the eggs as the egg mass is getting bigger and i dont think its to dry the ground is moist.I dont use heat mats there kept in a room which is kept at 25-27c during the day and 23-25 at night.

I don't have P diversus but normally you don't need a heat mat. But i'm not an expert
i hope your eggs do well. and that you have larva soon.

You should place a thermometer inside your set up to get the temperature just to see if it is sufficient also a hydrometer is useful it doesn’t necessarily have to be a heat mat but an extra heating device does help with tropical species.

hi leonoflondon there in a room that is keept at a tropical temp so i carnt use a heat mat as they will over heat.ALso they have moved into a test tube for some reason so its impossible without disturbing them to moniter the humidity inside

how will you regulate the temperature when the summer arrives.

its got a thermostat so it will just turn it self of more often to keep temp right and if its too warm i will proberly turn it off. ive got a thermomiter to moniter the temp in the room.

HI jimmyVe thankyou for asking the larva are doing great there certainley growing as i can see them very clearly the queen still laying but the workers are started to die off. Its not eney thing im doing wrong as they have been fine for 3 weeks i think the workers are dying cause they only live a few weeks so ive read

That's good news about your larva.
About your workers, that's right, they don't live long, but 3 weeks. could be. I'm still waiting for my PP eggs to turn into larva.
