I think my ants are dying !! my formica ant has layed eggs and everything is cool and swell they are all allmost pupae and now one has died and the rest i am afraid are going to aswell.... they are changing colour ...... to brown from white but they arent moving they are still pupae what is wrong with them??

Good news is some of my lasius niger hatched 2 of them for now have but since i have
2 FORMICA QUEENS the same !!!! One has dolls the other one cas cocoons WTF?? someone help my im a big noob .... and anwser my question above why are my dolls being changed to brown... :S

They normally get browner as they get nearer emerging as an adult ant, they are black ants afterall? They are "born" pale yes but the colour change begins while they are pupae/cocoons. So do not worry this is normal

Formica larvae need to be buried to spin a cocoon (like any cocoon spinning ant), one Queen obviously found a way to do this in the test tube, most likely by pulling cotton wool, the other obviously didn't so her larvae just became pupae. Again normal and nothing to worry about.
