Hi ant enthusiasts,

I've build a ytong nest and I like the idea of locking the rooms so the space will develop as colony grows.
I want to do something like this setup:

See that green stuff locking the rooms?
Anyone any idea what I can use so ants can carve in it maybe to be comestible and also not to develop mold?

Use a mixture of clay and sand, 1 part clay to 3 parts sand.
