Hi
I arrived from Brasil and I catch about 50 ants with eggs and larvas. I need your help because I don't know the species and can I have someting without the king? I have only europenian ants so I need help, pls.
The ants live under ground, near the tree. The worker is very very agressive and very big, about 2 cm.

This looks like Odontoponera, but more like Pachycondyla. Pachycondyla apicalis maybe, but I don´t know for sure.
The ends of the feelers are yellowish so I think I could be right.
You can hold them without a queen for a long time. They don´t have kings for long you know.
Maybe you digged out the whole colony with the queen, but in any case they are very interesting!

I'm looking for it and mayby there is a Paraponera clavata?
I didn't think that I have all colony, because in the colony there are a lot of ants, I have only 50. I don't know, is possible take other king for this colony, or she will be killed by colony?
What about the aggs, is it probably that there will be queen?

To jest Ponerinae, przezo wszystko s krolowom i tak dalei nie jest tak proste! One majom gamergate, ona wjglonda jak normalna mruwka ale sklada jajka.
Utrzymać mocesz je rok lub dwa!
Nie kop sa Paraponera! One barzo ostro konszom i krolowa jest barzo glemboko w kolonie! Pare dostac robotnic nie problem ale krolowa jest dobze skryta!
Ach tak i kolonia niema duszo wienzey nicz 50.
Pewono srobilem pare blendow, zo?^^
